Kingston College was established to address the growing demand for secondary education among boys in Kingston and Lower St. Andrew. Founded on the principles of character and intellectual development, the school aimed to provide an opportunity for young lads to pursue professional careers or study for a London degree. The curriculum was comprehensive, preparing students for Cambridge and London exams with subjects ranging from classics like Latin and Greek to sciences, mathematics, and arts. Admission required boys to demonstrate intellectual fitness and good character, while religious instruction followed the Church of England's teachings, with options for withdrawal upon parental requests.Officially opened on April 16, 1925, Kingston College began with 49 students, marking the start of a new educational journey under the blessings of religious leaders and educational pioneers of the time.
